Iran will announce the management mechanism, charging standards and navigation routes for the Strait of Hormuz.

Release time: 2026-05-21   Browsing:115次
Recently, Iran has officially launched a traffic management mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz and will soon release toll standards and exclusive shipping routes to safeguard national sovereignty and the safety of international trade waterways. The passage is only open to merchant ships of countries that cooperate with Iran and strictly closed to vessels participating in relevant US programs. Ships from friendly countries only need to coordinate with the Iranian military for passage, while vessels from hostile countries are fully banned.
Following the previous US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran, Iran tightened control over the strait. As a vital waterway carrying one-fifth of the world’s oil and gas shipments, its disrupted shipping triggered tight oil supply and pushed up international oil prices sharply.
At present, vessels from many East Asian countries have smoothly passed in accordance with relevant rules. Several European countries have also initiated negotiations with Iranian military forces to obtain navigation access. Instead of a full blockade, the strait adopts differentiated classified control. By taking the initiative over the waterway, Iran has gained greater say in energy shipping, bringing new changes to the global energy transportation landscape.
