China Shipowners' Association: Vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz need to report!
On June 22 local time, the Houthi group announced the resumption of attacks on US vessels, targeting US military and commercial ships in the Red Sea, and warned that the attacks might be expanded to ships of other countries involved in military operations against Iran. The security of Red Sea shipping has further deteriorated.
On the morning of June 23, the China Shipowners' Association issued a notice stating that in light of the current tense situation in the Red Sea, the association, in accordance with the requirements of the national competent authorities, requested all shipping enterprises and crew management companies to start reporting the dynamic information of their vessels to the China Shipowners' Association 24 hours before entering the Gulf of Oman, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Persian Gulf, and to stop reporting after leaving. Reports should be made once every 24 hours.
