Major shipping lines suspend services

Recently, after a period of concentrated rush to ship goods, shippers have not been in a hurry to place new orders but have chosen to wait for further clarification of the US tariff policy. Meanwhile, shipping lines have begun to suspend or adjust their services on the trans-Pacific routes in an effort to maintain freight rates. Japanese shipping giant ONE has suspended a route that was originally scheduled to resume in May and has also cancelled calls at the Port of Wilmington in the US. The Ocean Alliance (OA) shipping line has informed that its three routes to Los Angeles will be completely suspended at the end of April, with no definite resumption date and no guarantee of cargo schedules. Non-Ocean Alliance shipping line ZIM has decided to suspend services for two months.
