Shipping companies that frantically ordered new container ships last year have not stopped expanding their fleets in the New Year.

According to One Shipping learned: the  CMA CGM group has consulted the offer of 12 18,000 Teu vessels, and is also considering 10 new 11,000 Teu vessels. Meanwhile, Evergreen Shipping, the world's sixth largest shipping company, is also planning to order 11 new vessels of 24,000 Teu.

In addition to the two shipping giants, CMA CGM and Evergreen Shipping, Ka Wah Shipping has also ordered three 4,800 Teu vessels from China's Wuhu shipyard, which are expected to be delivered in the first half of 2027. German shipowner Elbdeich Reederei has ordered two conventional fuel vessels from CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., LTD., with delivery scheduled for early 2027.
