Recently, the shipping company Maersk announced that it will resume transit through the Panama Canal on the OC1 route from May 10, 2024.
Maersk stated in a statement to its clients that due to the easing of low water levels on the Panama Canal trade route during the rainy season, Maersk will resume navigation on the Panama Canal route between the East Coast of the United States and Australia from May 10th.
According to Maersk Line, the OC1 route will be restored to the state before the opening of the Panama Railway Line, and the Panama Railway Line will be gradually cancelled by the end of May.
