South Korean regional line operator SKR has decided to suspend container shipping services to Russia's Vostochny after the port's terminal operator was placed on a new US sanctions list.
"We have now suspended our services to Vostochny, and if our vessels continue to dock at the terminal, there may be a violation of sanctions," SKR said. At the same time, we will stop accepting cargo bookings to and from Vostochny, but the cargo already booked will continue to be transported until the end of this month."
SKR will continue to ship to Vladivostok, another port in the Russian Far East, as it is not yet affected by sanctions.
