THE alliance announced the suspension of the two well-known European and U.S.-East routes
Yesterday (24th), THE Alliance said that "taking into account the current market situation", its Asia-Northern Europe FE5 route and Asia-US East Coast EC4 route are suspended from week 46 until further notice.
In addition, THE Alliance also said that it will adjust the existing Asia-US East EC1, EC2, EC5 routes and Asia-Northern Europe FE3 and FE4 routes to ensure service coverage.
THE Alliance's suspension of its Asia-US East EC4 route is the second Trans-Pacific Loop to take steps after the alliance partners suspended the Asia-US West PN3 route last month.
Capacity control measures such as blank routes, voyage delay and super slow sailing failed to achieve the balance of supply and demand, forcing the East-West trade route ship sharing alliance to suspend services.
