HMM and NYK set up a joint venture company

South Korean shipping company Hanshin Marine HMM announced Monday (December 20) a joint venture with Japanese shipping company NYK to provide heavy cargo ships and cargo shipping services, focusing on the Far East-Middle East route, One Shipping reported, citing XINDE MARINE NEWS’ latest report.
"Our heavy-lift ship service began in 2007 and currently operates six 30000DWT and a large multi-purpose ship fleet capable of lifting up to 640 tons," HMM said. NBP is a subsidiary of NYK, which is specialized in special cargo transportation, engineering cargo transportation and heavy lifting ship business.
