On 30. June the consulting agency Drewry announced the latest World Containerized Index (WCI), which showed retes continued to fall by 3% to $7066.03/ FEU this week. It is worth noting that the spot freight rate of the index, which is based on the 8 major routes of Asia-America, Asia-Europe and Europe-America, has experienced a comprehensive decline for the first time. Drewry expects rates will continue to fall in the coming weeks.
